An important additional source of volunteer power is generated through the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). This program is locally sponsored by the Carolina Lowcountry Chapter and is part of the Corporation for National Service. RSVP volunteers must be 55 years of age or older. They contribute their time and experience as they assist over 120 agencies to meet a variety of community needs. RSVP volunteers donate their time and skills in dozens of different ways. Some examples are office help, school volunteers, guardian ad litems, hospital volunteers, meal delivery to the homebound, historical and garden tour guides, friendly visitation and much more. Open to volunteers 55 years of age or older.
